Welcome

Global Market Enhancement Section

Globalization has been one of the most important challenges and drivers for change in the forest products industry in recent years. The wood products market has experienced global expansion as trade barriers and transportation costs been diminished. At the same time, there has been increased interest to move from maturing North American and European markets to new growing forest products markets. Availability of international capital has boosted the market expansion process. The end result is that global forest products exports have increased 30% in volume and 75% in value in the last 25 years.
