Welcome

Biofuels Section

Fossil-fuel combustion accounts for a major part of net carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere. To reduce these emissions many countries have started to reduce fossil-fuel use. Wood-based biofuels will have an important role to play in replacing fossil fuels in various applications. An increased production of manufactured products from forest industry results in larger market supply of low-cost biofuel by-products, from both forests, and production processes. Low-cost biofuels can be part of a sustainable energy system.
